Cantuccino word derived from &#8220;Canto&#8221;<br \/>\nmeans &#8220;Corner,&#8221; small crispy portion. THE ACCADEMIA OF CRUSCA<br \/>\nas early as the late 1600s defines it as &#8220;Cantuccio&#8221; a sliced cookie made of flour, sugar and<br \/>\negg white.
